MY MISSION

My Mission Statement

The first objective of my mission is to provide each of my clients with the very best home buying or selling experience. That is my promise and my number one priority!

My second objective is to make the world a better place by donating my net commissions toward building homes for the working poor just south of Ensenada, Mexico. Each home currently costs around $9,000 to build.

In essence, by letting me help you buy or sell your next house, you are giving a home to a very needy family. Let me represent you as you sell your house & buy a new home, we can double the impact we make!

A win, win, transformative mission!

"The Robertson Home Build" June 2021 (Home of Hope #2)

JR and Rob Robertson allowed me to sell an investment home for them. I volunteered almost 100 hours using my construction skills to help them prep their house for sale. In July, I led a team of 19 down to build a home for a grandmother, two adult daughters and their three children. The youngest boy cried with joy upon entering his new home. Thanks Robertsons for helping to "change the world...two homes at at time."

"Xavier Juarez Home"   July 2021 (Home of Hope #3)

In April, Leah Tristo, a great friend of the Village of Hope and a local real estate agent, gave me one of her clients to help me in this mission (WHO does that?). I was able to work with Xavier to find him the perfect home with a beautiful swimming pool. He moved in on July 2 and July 18-23, a team from St. Aloysius Church in Tulare led by Aaron Gomes went to build a home for the Lopez Family  (click to meet the family).

This is life transformation! Xavier got his dream home with a pool and down in Baja the Lopez family got their dream home. "Changing the world two homes at a time!" From cardboard walls, dirt floors and leaky ceiling to fully insulated, 16x20 home with electricity, build on a firm slab foundation. Imagine going from a sheet door to a real door with keys.

If you are interested in going with the Catholic team from St. Aloysius, give Aaron a call at 559-331-0045.

"The Slabber Home" Christmas 2021 (Home of Hope #4)

The Slabber's allowed me to help them sell an investment property. To help get the property ready to sell, I pulled the Village of Hope trailer over, brought out a few of our home building tools and installed new baseboards. They paid for materials, I donated my time...I am an agent and more! The sale of this property will be complete in late July. I am currently working with my investment connections in Texas to help them purchase two homes that will essentially double their monthly income. If you have investment property, let me help you fix it up, sell it and reinvest in a better market.

It has always been my plan to have my clients actually go on home build and give the house away to the family. Nico Slabber became the first to accept my invitation.  During the Christmas 2021 Mission Trip and helped build the house and give it away to the family. Nico is seen at the door praying for the home and the new home owners. What a joyful moment for all involved!

"The Barcena Home" Christmas 2021 (Home of Hope #5)

During an open house for the Slabber home I met Analee and Hector. They were new to Visalia and looking for a home. I helped them find their dream home. We competed against 32 other offers! Our offer was $20,000 less then the highest offer, but through  prayer and my persistence, they accepted our offer! They get their dream home in mid July with plenty of time to enjoy their new pool!

We built a home for the Macias family during the Christmas build.

"Faryniarz Lender Home" Christmas 2021 (Home of Hope #6)

The Lopez Hernandez family received a brand new home in December because of the generosity of lending specialist, Brett Faryniarz.

Lopez Story

Brett works from his home in Southern California. Because of the low overhead, he can always provide my clients with the best rates at the lowest cost. Brett and I played football together at San Diego State University and he later played for the Rams. When he read on Facebook that I was donating all of my commissions, he immediately committed to doing the same thing for all loans I send his way.

Over the past year I have sent Brett 2 new home loans and 10 refis. To date, he has donated $27,000 from his commissions! Enough to build three Homes of Hope! Home #6 and #7 were funded by Brett.

Brett always meets deadlines, provides the best rates/terms, and he is really easy to work with...unless you are Joe Montana. Give Brett a call at (714) 313-3721.

"Carl & Leah: The Thrill of Giving" Easter 2022 (Home of Hope #7)

During Easter 2022, a single mother named Francesca received the ultimate blessing, a place for her three children to live. Francesca, a Mixteco non-spanish speaker, works very hard making only $72 per week. For three years she has been paying $60 a month to buy land. Life has been bitterly difficult since her husband left her four years ago, but she has received a lot of help from the Village of Hope and Casa de Gracia.

Francesca received a house because Carl and Leah allowed me to sell their rental property for them.  Then, Carl and Leah came on the trip to help build the house and give it to Francesca. What a joy it was for Carl and Leah to be part of this process.

Below is a picture of Francesca and two of her children helping to paint her home.

"The Pastor Gets a Home" Easter 2022 (Home of Hope #8)

Pastor Miguel and his wife Patty received a new home paid for by the giving of Brett Faryniarz. Here is the moving story.

The family worked hard to help build their own home. We are excited to help this great man put down roots near Casa de Gracia because he will be able to help people for years to come.

"The Slover Build" June 2022 (Home of Hope #9)

In June 2022, the Shawn Team from Cornerstone Real Estate Professionals built the dream home for Angelica Camacho and her three beautiful children. The entire build was funded one of the Shawn Teams best and most generous agents, Zac Slover. Zac was inspired by the "Changing the World Two Homes at a Time" concept and felt called by God to be part. There were many highlights from the trip, but one of the best was seeing Zac give the keys to Angelica during the home dedication.

Other highlights included bringing toys to the children each day and taking time to play with them during the build.  Jesus (12), Alicia (7) and Danielita (4) were so joyful and appreciative.  For the first time in more than 12 years building homes, we got all the lights installed and the power turned on before leaving. Bruce Lungren, an extremely gifted contractor, put in a few extra house after the home dedication and got everything working. When Angelica stood under the ceiling fan she began weeping for joy. Another highlight occurred on the final day of the build when Steve Kennelley challenged the team to meet a special need at the Village of Hope for a new sound system for both churches. The team responded to the change and pledged to donate more the $20,000. God is so good!!!

"Tulare VOH Trip" July 2022 (Home of Hope #10)

A team primarily from St. Als in Tulare built a beautiful home in July. The team, lead by Stephanie and Aaron Gomes, built a home, had a fun VBS and ministered to the women of the community. More highlights coming soon.

"Pena-Wasnick Home" September 2022 (Home of Hope #11)

September 1-6 two dreams were simultaneously fulfilled. The first, and most important dream come true, Alex, Felicitas and little Jorge received a brand new home. Alex is an associate pastor for Casa de Gracia. This new home is just steps away from the church and visible at all times through their front window. It was dream come true for their family.

The second fulfilled dream began almost a year ago when Elvie Peña shared with her real estate team that God spoke to her about giving a house to a needy family. She shared the prophetic message with her team at their quarterly retreat. At their next quarterly retreat she reminded them that it was still on her heart to give a house. At the time, she had no idea that it would be in another country!

Shortly after that, Dave was showing a house they were listing his potential buyers. During that interaction, Dave shared with the Peñas that he gave all his commissions to build homes in Mexico and then leads teams down to build them.  Elvie immediately realized this was the fulfillment of her word from God. In the picture above, Elvie, Jeff and their daughter are giving a house, just as God had placed on her heart to do.

"Jolly Thanksgiving Build" November 2022 (Home of Hope #12)

In November, Chris Jolly, a local realtor with Melson Realty lead a team to build Home of Hope number 12.

"Salon de Wendy" December 2022

In December our team built a 28x16 sewing complex. During the Easter trip our team used the building for the first time to teach 12 women how to make products which can be sold for an income. During that trip, we also dedicated the facility to Wendy Van Beek and named it Salon de Wendy.

"Caring for Widows" December 2022 (Home of Hope #13)

December 26-30, our team built a home for a widow with 3 young children. Her husband died a year ago while working in the fields. Typically, the home owner buys their own land by making payments, then we come a pay for all building supplies and build the home. In this case, we decided to payoff her land completely so she would be able to better take care of her children.

"New Years Build" January 2023 (Home of Hope #14)

The first build of the year was by a group from Reedley. They set the record by building the house in just 2.5 days.

"Radiant Easter Mission" April 2023 (Home of Hope #15)

Anna and Misreal received a new home for Easter. They were living in an 8x10 shack with their 3 year old son. In addition to the home, our team provided them with a kitchen table, bed, drapes, shelves, supplies and a water tank.

"Radiant Easter Mission" April 2023 (Home of Hope #16)

The Alonzo Gutierrez family received an new home on Thursday, April 6. The build was led by local builder Chad Howell.

"Visalia First" June 2023 (Home of Hope #17)

In June we took Visalia First Assembly on their first mission trip to the Village of Hope. It was a really special time because we were able to throw a surprise birthday party for a little girl that is paralyzed from the waist down and give her physical therapy. We also built her family a brand new home making modifications for wheelchair access. It was a very exciting trip to see so many people use their giftings to transform life for this family.  The house was funded by the sale of a home for a good friend, Doug Benc. Doug came with us on the trip and got to give the keys to the new owner.

"Tulare VOH Trip" 2023 (Home of Hope #18)

The Tulare VOH team, led by Aaron and Stephanie Gomes had an amazing trip in June of 2023. This was their 3rd time leading a trip and the majority of the participants were from from St. Als church. They built a very beautiful olive color home. We had many generous donations so the team was able to build a very nice home and equip the family will.

"Jolly Thanksgiving Build" November 2023 (Home of Hope #19 and #20)

In early November, Chris Jolly lead a team from Milson Real Estate.

"Christmas" June 2023 (Home of Hope #21)

Gerado (16) and Laura (17) got the greatest Christmas present this year, a new home for their little girl. This Home of Hope was funded by Philip and Ginger Pierschbacher who let me sell their home in Tulare and downsize in Visalia. They were absolute superstars on our trip, helping with construction and then giving keys to the young couple. We had extra money so on the day of dedication one of our team members, Grace Dolton, took the couple on a shopping spree to buy everything they needed to equip their new home.  They were very humbled and surprised as they kept shyly asking if they could have different items. In all we provided about $2,500 worth of food, baby items, furniture, clothing, and daily necessities.  It was so fun to show this couple what a great big loving and caring God we have.

"New Years Build" 2024 (Home of Hope #22)

Anna and Misreal received a new home for Easter. They were living in an 8x10 shack with their 3 year old son. In addition to the home, our team provided them with a kitchen table, bed, drapes, shelves, supplies and a water tank.

"Radiant Easter" 2024 (Home of Hope #23 and #24)

This Easter I had the honor of leading a team of 120 from Radiant Church in Visalia. This was the 25th anniversary of my family leading mission trips to the Ensenada. We had a VBS, women's ministry, sports ministry, distributed food, sewing and more. We had two construction projects. This one was two Homes of Hope located on the campus of Casa de Gracia, the church we built in 2019. These two homes will be used for families in crisis situations. We have noticed that many men are getting hooked on drugs and then abandoning their families. We plan to make many more of these two home apartments so that we can be there for people in their time of greatest need.

"Radiant Easter" 2024 (Gracia Community Center, Phase 2)

This Easter, in addition to building the crisis housing, we build the second phase of the Casa de Gracia Community Center. This new building on the right is a 40x36 foot meeting and dining area. It will be used during church services for children's church, but throughout the week for feeding meals, hosting missionaries, after school programs and more. Phase three will be in the location of the trailer and will include a full commercial kitchen and offices on the bottom floor and dorm rooms and restrooms on the second floor. We plan to build Phase 3 during Easter of 2025.

A TRIBUTE TO KEVIN BLAIN: HE LOVED WELL

Summer Build 2020

A Dream Come True! Our first home build after Covid was in July 2020 when a team of 19 slipped into Mexico just after Covid restrictions were lifted. In just three days, this family got their "green" dream home.
